Calvin Augustine is a highly sought after Australian immigration lawyer admitted to practice in dual jurisdictions and is the founder and principal lawyer at Augustine & Co. Immigration Lawyers. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of London in 2005 and was initially admitted to practice law in Malaysia in 2008 after completing his pupillage with the late Mr Karpal Singh, one of South East Asia’s most prominent criminal lawyers cum politicians.
He relocated to Australia from Malaysia in 2010 and begin his career at the firms of Michael Kirby Chambers and Hamdan Lawyers in Adelaide, South Australia, before moving to Melbourne in 2013. Following his admission to the Supreme Court of Victoria as an Australian lawyer, he joined a commercial litigation practice as associate working directly with the managing partner of the firm on a wide range of matters and was additionally given the opportunity to head up the immigration law division at the firm, representing individuals & corporations internationally.
Prior to founding Augustine & Co. in 2019, he practiced immigration law at several leading immigration firms in Melbourne where he gained immense exposure in all areas of Australian Immigration law, including merits review applications to the AAT and judicial review applications to the Federal Circuit Court.
Calvin also works in strategic alliance with a New York based immigration law firm where he specialises in advising potential migrants and Australian expats living in the United States and Canada with all matters relating to Australian immigration law.
His keen interest & passion for immigration law originated from going through the immigration process himself as an immigrant to Australia and he therefore has an intimate understanding of the process on both a professional and personal level.
