Principal and Director of Integra Law, Catherine Boxhall has always loved logic, language and learning new things. She enjoys the challenge and satisfaction of facilitating research collaboration and commercialisation, helping to develop new technologies, products and services, and take them to market. Catherine is equally interested in the innovators as in their ideas, making her an empathetic and effective problem solver and deal broker.
During almost 20 years’ experience in corporate, commercial, IP and technology law, she has managed significant transactions for research organisations, start-ups, investors and global companies. Catherine has a particular interest in the life sciences and medical devices, but equally enjoys aiding technological advances in fields such as agriculture, consumer goods and IT.
Before founding Integra Law, Catherine held senior roles at a commercial law firm with a life science focus, and helped to build the commercial legal practice of a large patent and trademark attorney firm. She has undertaken long-term secondments with large commercial and public sector research organisations, so has first-hand understanding of the needs of in-house counsel and their internal clients.
Catherine is one of only a handful of Australian private practice lawyers qualified as a Certified Licensing Professional, and is currently NSW Regional Chair of the Licensing Executives Society. She holds Science and Law (Hons) degrees, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Intellectual Property Law.
