Elisha has an interest in the intersection between reputational risk, criminal law and media. Coming from a criminal law background, Elisha has extensive experience appearing in complex and sensitive criminal matters, instructing counsel in in the Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeal. She is passionate about defending her clients’ rights and ensuring they are protected in Court with the utmost sensitivity. Elisha has acted in a number of defamation proceedings in the District Court, Supreme Court and Federal Court and is also currently involved in a defamation appeal being heard in the Full Court of the Federal Court. Elisha was part of the team who one of Australia’s most experienced and successful private bankers and financial advisors in Federal Court proceedings against a well known financial news source obtaining an outstanding outcome.
Elisha has experience acting for doctors, plastic surgeons, cosmetic injectors and nurses in both defamation proceedings and regulatory and professional misconduct matters with AHPRA, HCCC and the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She also has experience acting in complex tax matters.
