Michael Mantei is a unique legal resource, with experience as both a town planner and local government/planning lawyer. As a town planner, Michael worked for a variety of local government authorities ranging from coastal, metropolitan urban fringe, to large greater metropolitan Councils. Michael’s town planning experience includes development assessment and strategic planning. Since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in law in 2001 Michael has worked exclusively in the field of town planning, local government, and environmental law advising local government authorities, private clients, and businesses.
Michael’s depth of expertise in town planning, local government, and environmental law was recognised by the NSW Law Society when he obtained specialist accreditation in local government and planning law in 2005.
Michael has a pragmatic understanding of how the development assessment and compliance system works and he can quickly identify the strengths and weaknesses in a dispute. Michael’s pre-law experience as a town planner enhances the quality and value of the legal services he provides to his clients.
Michael is a member of the NSW branch of the Planning Institute of Australia’s planning law group. He is also a member of a number of independent planning panels in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area.
