Nicholas became a registered Patent Attorney and Trademarks Attorney in 2010 in both Australia and New Zealand. His qualifications include Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical Engineering, First Class Honours, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property (MIP). He is associated with ‘The Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia’ and ‘Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand.’
Nicholas works closely with innovative companies and inventors to assist in identifying and protecting patentable inventions. While working across a broad range of technology areas, Nicholas is particularly adept in protecting software related inventions having himself worked as a software engineer and having previously patent protected software related inventions for companies including tech giants such as Google, Nokia Corporation and IBM.
He brings to the table his experiences, his rules-of-thumbs and insights from him having protected IP rights for over 1000 Australian clients.
